Before and After School Care at Wharton Dual Language Academy

Morning Care (7:00 – 7:45 AM)
Morning care is available for a fee starting at 7:00 AM. This is a supervised program designed for families who need early drop-off.
  • Daily drop-in rates are also available.
  • There is no adult supervision before 7:45 AM unless your child is enrolled in the morning care program.
  • School doors open to all students at 7:45 AM.
After School Care (4:00 – 6:00 PM)
The Wharton After School Program (ASP) provides structured care, clubs, and enrichment activities.
  • There is no adult supervision after 4:15 PM unless students are enrolled in school-sponsored tutorials, clubs, or ASP.
  • Students not picked up by 4:15 PM will be sent to the After School Program and a fee will be charged.
How to Enroll in the After School Program (ASP)

Enrollment for the 2025–2026 school year opens on Monday, June 9, at 12:00 PM.
To request a spot, email Marco Botello at marco.botello@houstonisd.org after 12:00 PM on June 9. Requests are processed in the order they are received. Spots are limited and not guaranteed.

Once you receive confirmation that a spot is available, you will have 48 hours to:

  1. Read and agree to the ASP Parent Handbook

  2. Complete the registration form

  3. Pay the registration fee and August fee through SchoolPay.com (no cash, checks, or money orders accepted)
